Summary
The Castle Street group held a pruning workshop this summer to build the skill set of local volunteers in caring for their trees planted in previous years. The group was trained in tree pruning for health of the tree and aesthetics. During the workshop the group pruned 5 trees and engaged in trash clean up. Later on their own time the volunteers trained their neighbors and a number of additional trees were pruned on the block. This group has a lot of camaraderie and enjoyed engaging in neighborhood beautification.
