Summary

Although starting later in the season than usual, the FOBPP had a successful summer stewarding their park, having an overall good turnout of volunteers and managing to weed and mulch all of their gardens at the entrance of Fournier and Crescent except for the upper triangle one near the red light. One highlight this summer was the children’s garden, which increased participation of children and brought in new parents to help out with the stewardship projects of the greater park. The children especially enjoyed being able to water the gardens and the blackgum tree planted last summer using the cart URI had provided them a past summer. The FOBPP are looking forward to continuing their efforts within the park even throughout the fall and winter this year, being able to focus their time on continuing with invasive removals during the off-season.
