Summary
In their 22nd summer, the Friends of Beaver Ponds Park met every Wednesday in order to weed, mulch and plant perennials throughout the park. At the beginning of each meeting, members gathered under the great catalpa tree to discuss and plan the evening’s work. This season, FoBPP worked to maintain the various gardens and natural areas around the park by picking up trash, mulching, removing invasives, and watering. Even when the group faced smoky skies or torrential downpour, they still showed up to take care of their beloved park. After a long season of planting perennials, we ended the season with a flourish, planting 2 mountain laurels and cementing this greenspace season’s legacy.
