Summary
Since 2001, Blockwatch 303 has worked on a large array of gardens and greenspaces throughout Westville. Many of their greenspaces are planted with flowers that attract butterflies and birds. As part of their efforts in community building and promoting environmental education, the group held a ladybug release party this year. As part of a fun, exciting event full of stories, puppet shows, craft-making, and garden tours, visitors released ladybugs into many of their butterfly gardens. In addition, the group worked to maintain their greenspaces throughout the summer by weeding and mulching.
