Summary
Blockwatch 303 has throughout the years created and taken care of beautiful greenspaces in the Westville neighborhood. This season Blockwatch 303 continued this stewardship at Beecher Park, and took on the new project of creating a memorial garden for Chris Engstrom. Chris Engstrom was a local artist in Westville who passed away due to ALS. Members of the community this summer came together and created a small parking lot island garden dedicated to him at the corner of Blake Street and Whalley Ave. This project, along with the numerous hours of maintenance by community members to care for the green spaces in the neighborhood are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the members of Blockwatch 303.
