Summary

Blockwatch 303 is a long-running, now emeritus, Greenspace group that beautifies many sites across Westville. The greenspace they have taken care of for the longest is the yard around the Mitchel Branch Library (Beecher Park) and the smattering of flower beds that circle the area, including the shade garden, library courtyard area, hosta flowerbed adjoining the fence of the neighboring yard, and two large flowerbed near the front of the library. They are without a double some of the most dedicated volunteers in New Haven with a long track record of success! This summer they continued site maintenance by watching over “The Peanut” roundabout and mulching the large katsura tree with three yards of mulch by the Mitchell Library!
