Summary
The Community Corner Group/Castle St. Greenspace group completed its third year with URI's Greenspace program this summer. Their main focus has been tree planting on Castle Street, Alton Street, Main Street, and Monroe Street in Fair Haven. They are very dedicated to their community, and particularly welcome children. This summer the group worked together to conduct a neighborhood clean-up day and to plant seven new street trees and flowering perennials at their bases. The group ends each planting with a small get-together where everyone celebrates with cold drinks and fruit.
