Summary

It was this group’s second year participating in the Greenspace program, and they are very eager to reclaim and improve the environmental quality of their community. Even with a delayed start this year, they were able to accomplish a lot. This year, most their work was concentrated to a massive traffic island at the intersection of Alton St. and Monroe St. Their efforts were able to restore this once weedy area that attracted illegal dumping, to its former beauty as a diverse pollinator garden.
