Summary
This year the Friends of Dover Beach focused on completing the city landscape architect's design for street trees along Front Street in Dover Beach Park by planting two trees across from Bailey Street. With help from the community and the Elm City Parks Conservancy Interns, the group was able to successfully finish planting its trees and concentrate on the stewardship of the rest of the park. In addition, the group's dedicated leader, Pat Bissell, worked with community youth from the Quinnipiac Athletics Dept to do a major cleanup and to add some finishing touches to their butterfly garden at the beginning of the summer. It was a colorful summer at Dover Beach Park!
