Summary
The East Edge Gardeners are a longstanding Greenspace group that has planted and maintained 9 beds on Edgewood Avenue and 2 beds at Pendleton Triangle for the past decade. 2011 saw East Edge transition from emeritus status to active status as they focused on restoring perennial beds on Brownell St., where cherry trees planted over a decade ago have shaded their formerly sunny beds. At Brownell St., East Edge Gardeners planted shade tolerant perennials and shrubs to provide color and seasonal interest year round. A consistent core group of volunteers came out to replant the Brownell beds and to steward East Edge's many other perennial beds. Visit the beds on Edgewood Avenue and at Pendleton Triangle to enjoy the beautiful spaces East Edge Gardeners have created.
