Summary
An overarching goal for the Friends of Edgewood Park Greenspace group this summer was to make the park entrances tidier and more inviting. To that end, they planted perennials by the park signs at Hobart Street and Chapel Street, and did some major pruning and clean-up at the Stanley Street entrance. They also did stewardship and planted perennials in front of the Spanish-American War Memorial and the ranger station near Hobart Street. With the help of Youth@Work, the group maintained trees planted last year and planted 5 additional shade trees in the park.
