Summary
In just their second year as a greenspace site, the dedication of the Friends of Kimberly Fields is admirable. This year, after doing maintenance on all the hard work they conducted last year, the group planted a beautiful, 48-perennial community garden in the curb strip in front of the Kimberly Ave lot. This work happened over three successive workdays, and they had to first clear lots of invasive mugwort before planting! Crystal, Carlos, and Crystal’s kids work hard to keep up the site, and we finished the summer off by installing a Community Greenspace Site sign to honor the past, present, and future work of the Friends of Kimberly Field.
