Summary

The Friends of Jocelyn Square are a fun, energetic, and dedicated group of people. On his days off, you could find group leader Kev Darnell picking up trash, watering plants, or weeding flower beds. The group meets each week not only to beautify the park but to take some time off work and forge new friendships. This summer, the group worked each week to add 6 new trees to increase canopy cover at the park, create a new bed with perennials and evergreen shrubs around the park sign on Humphrey Street, and repaint the raised planter at the front of the park. Thanks to all of the group’s dedication and hard work, Jocelyn Square Park has been completely transformed! The park is safer and more beautiful than ever, and the friendships made along the way will last a lifetime.
