Summary

The Friends of Lenzi Park have a strong legacy of care for the space. This year, long-term volunteers such as Jenny, Jerry, Sara and Mary blended with new volunteers such as Julianne, Diane, Mike and Jesse to continue to upkeep the beautiful park. The group hit the ground running, weeding and mulching faster earlier in the season than they ever have. They also decided to add a few more flowering plants to their garden islands to celebrate the early completion of their weeding tasks. Their consistent care and watering allowed the parks plants survived a difficult season without much rain. Most importantly, the group grew closer as neighbors and friends.
