Summary

The Friends of Lenzi Park have a strong legacy of care for the space. This year, the core six-person volunteer team, led by group leaders Jenny and Jerry, welcomed one more volunteer, Luis, as they continued to upkeep the beautiful park. This group is made up of many expert gardeners, who know just what to tackle next in the Park–whether it’s removing invasives, pruning, spreading grass seed, or consistent watering–to keep the space looking lush and inviting to the community. Having worked together for a couple of years, the group works together seamlessly; this allowed them to take a week off to lend extra hands to another Greenspace group, the Friends of the Farmington Canal. The Friends of Lenzi Park are known for their care and stewardship, not only for the plants and the people in their community but also those outside their neighborhood.
