Summary
Under the dedicated leadership of Jenny Berkett, Lenzi Park has been transformed from a neglected and barren lot into one of the most beautiful and well-maintained parks in New Haven over the past two decades. Located in the heart of Wooster Square, Lenzi Park serves as a quieter and smaller counterpart to Wooster Square Park. Jenny’s dedication has helped keep Lenzi Park in pristine condition, with weeding and watering of the park’s planters being one of the group’s largest priorities. This summer, the group also took on a larger project of adding new perennials to the strip between the park’s fence and the sidewalk, creating a stunning row of hostas and liriope.
