Summary

The Mill River Trail provides an oasis in the middle of an industrial district. It is a peaceful, quiet escape from the bustling of New Haven. To get to the trail you need to walk around a gym, paint store, or factories, but it’s worth it to find a great walking trail while breathing in the Mill River air and sitting beside the trees. This year’s focus was invasive removal, to allow the native plants to show their stunning leaves and allow the trail to become even more enjoyable. Some shrubs and trees were also put into the ground, to better define the trail and provide more natural objects for the eyes to focus on in the Urban Oasis.
