Summary

The Orchard St. Greenspace group is one of the oldest and longest standing of all the Greenspace groups: going strong since 1995. For twenty-three years, they have been stewarding their lot with continued energy, passion, and drive toward environmental restoration. They are a curious group of retirees that want to know why more often than how. They have an interest in learning more about the ecology of their lot and how plants coming in will fit within it. This year, they met and exceeded their goals. They installed a new trashcan, seeded a lawn area, removed four truckloads of brush and fallen limbs, and installed a massive new garden beatifying the backend of their lot. Last but not least, they planted a Butterfly Magnolia tree as a living memorial to their fearless leader, Lil' Mama.
