Summary
At the end of Howard Avenue sits a bench, looking out into the Long Island Sound — a view framed by a small beach. After almost two decades of stewarding two spaces elsewhere in the South Hill neighborhood, the Greenspace members of Oyster Point concentrated on beautifying the beach through ample weeding efforts (especially tackling mugwort), new plantings (bayberry, porcupine grasses, and a beach plum), and regular watering. We capped off the summer with a double dose of dogwood planting in Bayview Park.
