Summary

The Oyster Point crew spent the summer improving all three of the spaces they have taken care of for the past two decades. First, we weeded, planted and mulched the bed at the end of Howard Avenue and cleared the adjacent beach of mugwort and sticky weed. When we moved to Triangle Park, on the Corner of Sea Street and South Water Street, we continued to weed, plant and mulch but also spent time moving a path and cutting back at overgrown shrubs. We finished the summer revamping Bayview Park. After pruning nearly all of the trees, planting some ferns and moving the "Vision Trail” the group was inspired to plant a tree. Across the sidewalk from a street tree that died this spring, the group put in a beautiful “Sugar Tyme” crabapple on a hot July day to wrap up the summer.
