Summary

This year was Rainbow Park's fourth year as an emeritus group. Over the years the group has developed this small vacant lot into a beautiful park garden space. The group's dedicated leader, Pat has been instrumental in involving community members including the students and teachers from nearby school who use the park occasionally. The group had an early start in which they did stewardship of the existing vegetation. The park got a new sign that was made by the students and teachers and Pat got help with installation of the sign over the gate. Later in the Greenspace season, the group got help from Common Grounds student crew who helped with stewardship of existing garden beds and helped to widen the paths according to allow people in wheelchair to have access to the back end of the park during social events. Pat also planted annuals in the front gardens during early summer.
