Summary

The Rainbow Park Green Space group met almost every Saturday this summer and fall, starting before URI interns could work in person and continuing afterwards. They met every Saturday morning at 8 AM to pull weeds, spread mulch, transplant hostas, and plant new flowers. One exciting day was spent cleaning up large fallen limbs from a particularly intense storm. The group is continuing to transition the garden from shade loving to sunny after the fall of a large tree the previous year. Neighbors and members of Fellowship house continue to work together to keep this space clean and thriving. Their teamwork has even spilled over to advocating for other green spaces in the area, such as the Kensington Playground.
