Summary
This year was the Dixwell Management Team's fifth year as a Community Greenspace site. The summer was an exciting time for the group because the continued development of Scantlebury Park has included the construction of a new playground and splash pad, as well as planting new trees. This year the group, with help from local youth, planted six trees along Webster Street. They also hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the park, an event that was attended by the mayor and many members of the Dixwell Community. The group has a bright future, as the park continues to present a multitude of planting opportunities.
