Summary

In their second year as a Greenspace group, the neighbors of Shelter St. came together to continue their tremendous beautification efforts from last summer. Every week the Shelter St. group was led by Miriam, Reina, and Gloria who, through their hard work, commitment, and amazing energy and fun spirit, brought family and generations together for stewardship and planting along this bustling street. The summer began with work on previous plantings, mulching and tending to trees and perennials. Throughout the summer color and greenery was added to yards and the street displaying the care and energy of these families. Work culminated with the planting of a new Kousa Dogwood at the end of Shelter increasing the reach of new canopy cover.
