Summary

Shelton Ave is a new group who got their start with URI in 2020 but with the 2021 season got fully sync-ed with URI support. The group is social and enjoys a nice cold cup of gatorade to break up the work, which has focused on planting medicinal and colorful perennials and shrubs along the front and right chainlink fences (though they are interested in planting small trees throughout the site- a service berry in particular). Though we only started meetings in the second half of the summer- 5 sessions was enough to establish a vibrant and robust bed of perennials in the front right of the site with some shrubs to the far right corner. People love spending time with each other and there is a wide variety of interests in both stewardship and planting.
