Summary

Currently in their 8th year of Greenspace, this summer the Sheppard & Huntington group continued its efforts to make their site an “oasis of peace”. Inspired by two committed leaders, Nina and Tanya, the group focused on the sustaining the advances they’ve made so far by freshening up the park and its adjacent curb strip. This included picking up trash, mowing the grass weekly, planting perennials in the corner and center gardens, replace the central shrub, mulching their 2 flower beds, and water the plants. After reaching their goals for the park, they focused their efforts on the curb strip and weeded and mulched in front of 2 properties on Huntington Street.
