Summary

During their 9th summer as a Greenspace, the intergenerational group at Shepard and Huntington accomplished many of their goals under the continued leadership of Nina and Tanya. Meeting twice a week, the group planted two trees and many perennials and shrubs; mulched the beds; watered consistently; and improved the hardscape. They also landscaped the front yard (a lead remediation project) of a dedicated volunteer. Next summer, the group hopes to work on the fence, continue planting, and work on the street scape. Their vision is for the park to become a place where families can congregate to enjoy movies, individuals can read and relax, and kids can play.
