Summary
The park next door to 91 Shepard Street was originally a vacant lot that neighbors in the community reclaimed in 1999, creating a peaceful place for children to play off the street. Jody Kelly, who lives adjacent to the site, has ensured the mowing and watering of the park over the years. This year Jody and the children in the neighborhood planted new perennials, mulched the beds, and maintained the stone dust path. The park remains a public space filled with nature for the community to enjoy.
