Summary
Project Narrative This group had its first season this year, rallying around an overgrown roundabout located at West Park Ave and Elm street. The Roundabout was installed about 5 years ago as a traffic calming measure, but fell into disrepair and became an eyesore and safety hazard. Neighbors wanted to get together to fix up the intersection to make it a safer, more pleasant location. They met twice a week during the summer to restore the roundabout through lots of shoveling of soil, mulch and stone, and planting shrubs, perennials, and a tree. One major achievement of the group was bringing neighbors together who didn’t know one another before!
