This was the last work day of the group and we had two more volunteers join us. Everyone defied the rains and continued stewardship at the park; mulching, weeding, watering and planting of eight daylilies around trees. |

Being the last work day for the group , the pouring rain couldn't deter the group who continued with planting around several areas in the park to give the park a new look. Shrubs and perennials were planted. Weeding and watering were also carried out to ensure the plants received adequate water. |

This was basically a planning meeting with the group. We touched on key issues that needed to be addressed to help the park recover from loosing two of its large trees to a storm. This was very important because of the changing dynamics expected due to the opening of the park to direct sunlight after the removal of two large peer trees. |
