2020 Greenspace Report

The Friends of Farmington Canal continued their usual efforts throughout the summer despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Since beginning work there in 2012, this area of the Farmington Canal has become a gathering place for members of the Newhallville Community and additionally hosts an urban oasis, known as the Learning Corridor, along the west side of the Canal Trail. This summer, the group focused on working to plant up the bare spots within the urban oasis and to replant around the pillars to create symmetry, in conjunction with their usual efforts of maintenance and clean-up.
