2025 Greenspace Report

Now in their fourth year as a Greenspace group, the Friends of Kimberly Field have transformed the Kimberly Ave entrance into an inviting, beautiful space filled with perennials. This year, we built the first out of 9 raised beds the group has planned for the site, adding coneflowers, black-eyed, Susans, and other perennials that would attract pollinators and people alike. We also weeded, mulched, and planted around the shadier side of the park, adding hostas, Japanese Forest Grass, and more. Despite the heat, we made progress toward the groups’ vision for the park: one that welcomes the whole community to play, relax, and enjoy.
