2025 Greenspace Report
The New Haven Botanical Garden of Healing Dedicated to Victims of Gun Violence is a space of healing and stewardship where volunteers not only care for and tend to the space, but each other. The moms who started this garden together after losing children to gun violence in New Haven, Marlene, Pamela and Celeste, continue to be faithful stewards of this garden and the people who are honored and remembered in this space. Each week, groups of volunteers join the moms in the garden to learn about gun violence in New Haven and continue to beautify the space through planting, weeding, and mulching. The Botanical Garden continues to be an informative place of healing where people can connect to other volunteers and those who have lost loved ones to gun violence.
